With today’s busy schedules, it can be difficult to get anything done on time. Work, school, house cleaning, caring for the kids, and everything in between all lead to less and less peace of mind. Wouldn't it be nice to cross one of those annoying, mind-numbing tasks off your to-do list? Have you ever thought about your socks? Sure, they seem like an irrelevant part of your daily wardrobe, and you just put them on and take them off as if you’re merely doing a duty. But, socks come in many different shapes and sizes. There long socks, ankle socks, knee-high socks, just above the ankle socks, and every size of sock in between. The problem is they only come in a few colors: white, grey, or black. And isn't such a hassle to match up all those different-sized socks?

The answer is, “Yes, it is a hassle.” You could spend so much time searching through baskets full of plain-looking socks that you miss out on actual important things. Plain socks are endless and annoying. If you throw a few red socks into the mix, maybe it won’t be so difficult to match all those socks. Maybe you decide to go crazy and throw a few pairs of blue striped socks into the mix. Now the burdensome task of matching socks together becomes one of simply looking at the socks. Literally, all you have to do is take visual stock of the socks and fold them together. It’s as simple as that.

Of course, that wouldn't solve all your problems, but it would certainly help. It would help even more to get rid of those bland, colorless foot covers that clog up your laundry baskets in skeins of fabric monotony. Indeed, a few pairs of polka dot socks would throw your sock world for a loop. Not only would it make your laundry baskets easier to decipher, it would also make them considerably more fun. Nobody likes boring things, and white, grey, and black socks are all boring things.

After some time in this uncharted and fun sock world, you might begin to cast aside the strict rigidity of red sock with red sock or blue sock with blue sock. Perhaps, you’ll feel comfortable with a red sock on one foot and polka dot sock on the other. Or maybe you’ll just have sock drawer full of funky socks. The best part about funky socks is that you don’t have to match them with anything else.

After a while, instead of looking at the socks you might just be grabbing two socks at random and matching them together, because it doesn't matter. You could watch TV, watch the kids, keep an eye on dinner, and just budget your time overall more efficiently—all while folding your awesome, funky socks. Or, in the most extreme case, you could just dispense with the formality of sock-folding and sock-matching altogether. Take them out of the dryer, put them in a basket, and just grab as needed. Funky socks are certainly the way to go.
